NEARBY LODGINGS
Being centrally located
right in the middle of Playa la Ropa, Alánamar at La
Casa Que Ve al Mar enjoys having nearby villas, bed & breakfasts, and inns just a few steps and in some cases a few blocks away.
If we can not accommodate your schedule on this trip we can
refer you to one or more of these similar high quality establishments.
Hotel Villa del Sol recently sold and renamed "The Tides", is perhaps the best known and most up scale resort community on Playa la Ropa and it is just a three minute walk from Alánamar at La Casa Que Ve al Mar. Located on the sand with pools, tennis courts, and well appointed rooms, this low rise hotel offers the intimate atmosphere and service commensurate with the finest 5 star hotels.
Just north of La Casa
Que Canta is Villa
Guadalupe which is a charming seven unit bed and breakfast
perched on the hillside straddling Playas La Madera and La Ropa.
Here they offer one and two bedroom spaces-some with private
pools-some with kitchens-all with spectacular views out to Playa
La Madera and Playa Principal. There is a magnificant common
area midway down the hillside with a bar and pool. This is one
of my personal favorites to accommodate extra guests and to
sneak away for a night or two with my lovely wife, Susan.
Amuleto
is a small five suite facility located at the very end of La
Ropa and up on the hill. Newly constructed and designed by Enrique
Zozaya, it offers deluxe accommodations and service with a degree
of privacy similar to that of Alánamar at La Casa Que
Ve al Mar.
La
Casa Cuitlateca lies just a few hundred yards north of our
condo and features four deluxe rooms, a small pool and a restaurant.
Intimate service and stupendous sun sets are to be counted on.
Fairly newly built, it sits at possibly the highest point on
the hill above La Ropa. Rojelio and his lovely wife will see
to your every need. And the Margaritas served here are to write
home about!
Across the main road on your way to the beach are four small bed & breakfast
type facilities, some of which have modest cooking opportunities. First in line is
La Quinta Troppo followed by Villa Luz,
the Villa Mimosa, and finally
Villa Carolina which is in our opinion
one of the most romantic inns near the beach.
Last but certainly
not least on our recommended list is La
Casa Que Canta, the house that sings! This is a small, maybe
20 deluxe rooms, and just a few blocks north of us and a bit
south of La Casa Cuitlateca. It lies on the hill between the
main road and the point separating La Ropa from Playa la Madera
just perhaps five minutes on foot from our condo. The pools
and restaurant are spectacular. You might even want to plan
to enjoy dinner there but call ahead for reservations.
